Raising AIDS Awareness

Kelly Rowland, known for being part of pop supergroup Destiny's Child, is the first ambassador for MTV's Staying Alive Foundation. The organization (staying-alive.org) empowers young people through HIV and AIDS awareness.
Earlier this week, Rowland went to a hospital in Kenya and took an HIV test to encourage others to do the same. Click the pic and read the CNN story. Know your status, it's vital.

Our Concepts of Beauty Can be Pretty Ugly
Ugly Betty is beautiful.
Something I heard the other night stuck with me.
In a heart-breaking moment one of my favorite TV characters said, “I should have known when he said I was beautiful, he was talking about on the inside.”
Three seasons in, and I forget that “Ugly Betty” is supposed to be, well, ugly.
