Salary, Retirement, Insurance...Oh boy.
Young people need to think about benefits.
When you graduate, landing a job is at the top of your priority list, as it should be.
But young people have to start thinking beyond their potential salaries. I didn't think about things like 401K plans and benefits when I first got hired, but financial security is important.
You have to really think about insurance, retirement and how to make your money work. The New York Times has a great story to help young people really get started, click the pic and check it out.

Our Concepts of Beauty Can be Pretty Ugly
Ugly Betty is beautiful.
Something I heard the other night stuck with me.
In a heart-breaking moment one of my favorite TV characters said, “I should have known when he said I was beautiful, he was talking about on the inside.”
Three seasons in, and I forget that “Ugly Betty” is supposed to be, well, ugly.
